Circa 1957

So, did those of you with a keen eye for decorating notice the turquoise bathroom tile in the pictures from my last post? It's turquoise, very turquoise. I guarantee it's the original tile chosen by June Cleaver when she had this house built.

Turqoise could be coming back in. A friend called me a couple of weeks ago and told me not to replace my purple counter tops because HGTV just put purple counter tops into someones house. They did do a black and white backsplash though.

Oh the joys of living in a house built in the 50s...it's not just the tile that makes them oh so appealing!

Do you have a matching bathtub?!?! I bet you could figure out a way to stylize it a bit, it looks like a pretty color. Maybe with some tan and chocolate brown accents...

when my husband and I moved into our hours we had a Turqoise stove and we had brown, orange and green carpet in our kitchen too. And in our bathroom we had the same carpet with a yellow tub. So I guess things could be worse. Those were some of the first things to go when we were able to finally do some redecorating.
