I found myself running the circle around our kitchen and living room today with a Little Debbie 100 Calorie brownie, attempting to avoid the salivating toddler who was chasing me. Really, the thing only offers 3 bites. Can't I have all 3 of them?
On the bright side, maybe I worked off 10 of the calories.

Can You Hear Me Now?
Today was the big day! Ben met Will and I at the audiologist this morning for some good ol' hearing aid training (my aunt Gina graciously stayed with Sophie and they had a ball together).
After about 45 minutes of education re: cleaning, maintenance, parts, etc., we finally put the aids on Will's ears. Up until that point the little guy had been snoozing, so he began to fuss when we were messing with his ears. But the sweetest part was this: after the aids were both on, he began to look around (as if he were hearing a whole new world). I asked him what he thought about his new hearind aids, and he got a huge million dollar smile on his face. It was priceless.
Here are some pics. The part that is behind his ear is the actual hearing aid. It attaches to the ear mold, which is in his ear. The hearing aid itself should last around 4-5 years. The ear molds we will have to replace every month or so at first; we can wait a little longer as his growth slows.
Our first set of hearing aids were free through Children's Miracle Network - what an amazing gift from God!!
"How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears." 2 Sam 7:22
If you have any questions about Will's hearing loss or hearing aids, please feel free to ask! I will respond either in the comments or in another post.

Spring Fever
Aaaah, Spring. When we mention going to the park, Sophie knocks over anything and everything to get to the door. It's like the running of the bulls.
Tonight she brought her Disney Princess straw hat with her as well.
Below are our neighbors, Marsha and Ivan. They are wonderful neighbors. After our walk tonight, Ivan asked us if we had a slide for Sophie. We told him no, and he went into his back yard and brought out one his grandkids have outgrown. Sophie was so excited about her gift!
The slide was dirty from sitting in their backyard. I told Sophie we'd have to clean it before she could use it. Sophie then proceeded over to Will's carrier (which was sitting on the driveway), grabbed his burp rag, went back to the slide and began wiping it off! After that I could hardly make her wait until tomorrow. We cleaned it off and she had a blast with her new slide!
Here's Will after our walk. He obviously loves being outside, too!

Picture Pages
In reference to a budding friendship with a potty-seat, Sophie does have some friends. Even if they're forced on her by Mommy's desire for adult conversation.

His Mercies Are New...
We took Will back to the audiologist today. His testing was the same; we will go back in about a week-and-a-half to pick up his bitty hearing aids!
PRAISE GOD that I will know my sweet boy is discerning my whispers of love to him; that he is hearing my songs of the Lord he will one day serve. I am truly humbled by God's goodness.

G'ma & G'pa Tyson Meet Will!
Ben's mom and dad flew in on Friday to finally meet their first grandson. Sophie has had so much fun playing with her Grandma and Grandpa.
The next two pictures are Bill with each of my kids when they were five weeks old. Can you tell which one is which?
Our newest family picture - could I seriously love my family any more?!
