Sweetest blues I've ever seen...
These blues are 5 months old today (and truly, truly in love with those tootsies)...

Nuggets, Anyone?
Okay, I admit it. I've done some serious soul searching and I've realized that over the course of the last year, this blog has slowly evolved from Sophie's blog into "Sometimes Mommy writes fun stuff about me and my brother when she's not focused on herself."
In light of that understanding, it's high time I change the name of this blog. I have thrown around many options but none have really hit the spot. Until last night when my hubby mentioned "Nuggets." Hmmm. Why is he always better than me at everything?? Even my own blog...
There are various reasons the name Nuggets appeals to me. 1)It is quite apropos when considering our last name. 2)My kiddos could be called my little Nuggets. 3)I tend to offer various tidbits of posting types i.e. "blog nuggets" (pictures, anecdotes about my kids, serious/faith lessons, mildly humorous, extremely boring if you're not family).
So, I leave it up to you all. How does "Nuggets" appeal to my readers? Please leave your comments and let me know what you think (you can also leave suggestions for other names). PLEASE BE HONEST. If you love it; if it really stinks as a blog name; if it's too cheesy; if it conjures up some wicked bad experience with cafeteria food; lay it on me. Your comments will make or break the name.

From Dust to Dust
I have heard it said that we enter this world and leave this world in basically the same form. My children are proof of that theory.
The other day I just happened to catch Will on camera as he exhibited his "Would Someone in this Wretched Nursing Home Please Find My Dentures" look.
No folks, that's not a diaper on Sophie. She's modeling her "big-girl panties" a.k.a. "mom bought some of my panties too big and now I have my very own Granny Panties."

Sophie Rediscovers an Old Friend
This was Sophie's when she was a baby. Now it's Will's... and Sophie's. Check out the video. I'm pretty sure she didn't always sing with it like she does now.

Potty Training 101
Mostly it's just made me want to have my own accident.
But then, isn't is just like God to grant us beautiful moments of perspective amidst the chaos?
That sweet surprise on her face as she tells me, with enough time to spare, that she needs to go...
Her scrumptiously chubby legs hurrying quickly down the hall...
Her eyes shining with pride as she makes it all the way there...
Oh how silly am I, dear Lord, to forget that you can use even days like these to expand my already full heart. My cup runneth over.
