Twins?

Nope, just a twin bed. Got your attention though, didn't I? Sophie looks so big in her twin bed that I really could cry every time I think about it.

Daddy helped her get in the mood - "Swiper, no swipin'!"

Sweet dreams.

Don't even think about judging me for the Dora blanket and sheets. If I'm being brutally honest, I would've judged you for it if I'd seen it on your blog a few years ago. But now I'm a mom, and I just didn't have it in me to tell her no over something so insignificant. It wasn't any more expensive and it made her so stinking happy. So don't you dare, you trendy mom whose daughter has a cute polka-dot or striped bedspread. Don't you dare.

I am not looking forward to the big girl bed. And no shame on Dora, Adlee refers to her as "backpack" though. I would choose backpack over Yo Gabba Gabba, and that is Adlee's favorite, that could be some sad looking covers :)

Whatever it takes to get them to stay in bed all night long, that's what it's all about. Who cares what it looks like or what they have to take with them.

I would have judged you if you'd gotten your two year-old girl some NASCAR sheets, but Dora? Psshh.. go for it. :-)

Well, I'm glad Carly doesn't have a polka dot bedspread! Ha, ha!
I totally hear you on the character stuff. Sometimes you don't want to give in, but then when you do, they are just so happy. And I for one am glad she's happy.
Oh, but the twin bed. That's one way to get a momma choked up. We just moved Carly into a twin bed around Thanksgiving. But that was mostly because it just took us forever to get one for her. And then of course, daddy translated that into meaning it was time to take down the crib for Isaac and put him in the toddler bed. Ahhh! Momma was not ready for that! Nor the six months of fighting with him to keep him in bed at night. Hopefully you don't have that struggle with Sophie.
Oh, they grow up so fast!

I agree whatever it takes. We got Clark Lightning McQueen. Addison didn't get to choose (we surprised her) or we would have gotten something different I am sure. She does look so big, just like Clark looking so big after a hair cut. That makes me kinda sad. I loved that he came in bed and snuggled with me this morning so then I felt he was still little.

Don't be pointing fingers at me! I didn't pick her bedding! The stripes were picked by trendy teenage girls! :) I wouldn't have been able to say no, though, had Cassie been picking. The shirts are bad enough! Let's just let them be little as long as they will, though. At least she didn't want Hannah Montana! I WOULD have put my foot down at that! HA!

LOL!!! I have always been soooooooo anti character stuff, but now we we have 5 pair of pjs (Tinkerbell, Dora, Barbie, etc...), I still don't like them, but I LOVE that Kinley loves them so we have to have them! So funny how things change! I still am not quite ready for the Dora bedspread (but how much older is Sophie than Kinley???) maybe it is in my future, so I won't judge! :)

Not going to judge, I had a wonderful NKOTB bedspread that I wouldn't take back for the world and I was much older than Sophie!
