Does anyone else out there hate having a sick child? Nothing breaks my heart more than holding my sweet baby girl, with a fever of 102+, while she screams for 20 minutes at bedtime because she hurts too much to think about laying in bed alone with no one to comfort her. Any pediatrician you talk to will say there are no true "sickness symptoms" with teething, but she has a couple teeth coming in... so, unless she has the mumps on top of cutting some teeth, I beg to differ. It's now 9:30 a.m., and she's still sleeping, so thankfully after her 3 a.m. Tylenol she was obviously able to settle into a comfortable rest.
We finally have a contract on our house that has lasted longer than the last two agreements. We are supposed to close on June 10th. Yipee!! We had the house and termite inspections this week. Other than a few minor things that my dad and Ben will be repairing, all went well. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
For those of you who don't know, Ben's aunt Annie passed away a little over a week ago. It was all very unexpected, and she was fairly young (early fifties?); a big shock to everyone. Please keep his family in your prayers. Especially pray for his mom, Sharon (the second sister she's lost); his cousin Philana (Annie's daughter and a college student at Oklahoma Christian); and his uncle, Joe (Annie's husband). We weren't able to go for the memorial but we've been planning for awhile to fly up on June 11th for a family reunion and Sophie's birthday, so it will be great to see everyone.
We'll keep you posted on the house!
